Rabbi Hertzel Hillel Yitzhak, Psy.D.

Rabbi Dr. Hertzel Hillel Yitzhak serves as the Chair of the Department of Psychology. He completed his undergraduate degrees in psychology and Hebrew from Queens College, New York, and his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.

Rabbi Yitzhak received his rabbinical ordination from HaRav Shmuel Eliezer Stern, of the Beit Din of HaRav Shmuel Wosner zt”l, HaRav Yona Metzger, former Chief Rabbi of the State of Israel, and other distinct rabbis. Since 2009, he has served as the Rabbi of the Sephardic Congregation in Evanston.

Rabbi Dr. Yitzhak has taught courses in psychology and Tanach at both Hebrew Theological College and at the Blitstein Institute for over fifteen years.
