Community Lectures

HTC boasts a long history of distinguished guests who have enhanced our academic environment with their thoughtful commentaries. Our students, faculty and staff—as well as members of the larger Chicago community—all benefit from the challenging and thought-provoking insights shared by these illustrious speakers. Most lectures at HTC are free and open to the public.

Weekly Lectures and Classes:

  • Sunday: Gemorah Shiur for Men by Rabbi Avraham Friedman, Rosh HaYeshiva 9:00 A.M. at HTC

  • Tuesday: In depth Talmud study led by Rabbi Yirmiyahu Neuman at Park Plaza Retirement Center at 9:00 am.

Monthly Lectures: 
  • Blitstein Institute of HTC is proud to be the new home of the Edith Tessler Rosh Chodesh Project for Women! This program in conjuction with Yeshiva Migdal Torah, now in its 18th year, presents noted speakers from the community in a monthly lecture on or near Rosh Chodesh at Shallots Bistro.
