We engage our students in a variety of opportunities to serve the local and global community, working with community partners to provide meaningful, hands-on learning for our students while helping members of our community meet their need for knowledgeable, committed volunteers.

HTC boasts a long history of distinguished guests who have enhanced our academic environment with their thoughtful commentaries. Our students, faculty and staff—as well as members of the larger Chicago community—all benefit from the challenging and thought-provoking insights shared by these illustrious speakers. Most lectures at HTC are free and open to the public.
