Kaddish Recitation ... Yahrzeit Notification ... Memorial Plaques
For generations throughout history, the Jewish People have honored the memories of parents and other loved ones by saying Kaddish. Many people wish to say Kaddish but are unable to do so. As a service to the entire Jewish community, a designated Rabbi or senior student at Hebrew Theological College:
- will recite Kaddish three times daily for the prescribed eleven month period.
- will recite Yizkor on the appropriate Jewish Holidays.
- will say Kaddish at the three services on the annual Yahrzeit.
- will notify designated family members of the forthcoming annual Yahrzeit date.
The fee for the Kaddish Service is a one time payment of $300.
Additionally, Hebrew Theological College can establish a plaque in memory of the deceased to be installed in our Memorial Hall. The three-lined bronze memorial plaque containing the deceased’s name in English and Hebrew as well as the English and Hebrew dates of death. A small electric bulb next to the plaque will be lit on the Yahrzeit anniversary as well as on the days that Yizkor is recited.
The fee for the Plaque Service is $600 which includes the fee for Kaddish Service, if desired.
All proceeds from the Kaddish and Memorial Plaque services go directly to the Hebrew Theological College Student Scholarship fund.
