Academic Excellence Inspires Professional Achievement
The revitalization of the Beis Midrash has generated great enthusiasm in all HTC programs on our main campus. The office of the Dean works hand-in-hand with the Rosh HaYeshiva and Mashgiach to ensure that each student will maximize his potential in all facets of his Yeshiva experience.
We at HTC take great satisfaction in the knowledge that our recent graduates have been accepted to prestigious graduate schools in their respective fields of endeavor. Among them is Jacob Herbach, who will be attending Northwestern University School of Law and Avi Zisook, who currently attends John Marshall School of Law. Rabbi Yechiel Gertner (also an HTC musmach) is pursuing a Masters degree in Health Care Administration at the University of Illinois. Tzvi Cohen and Yisroel Cohen were accepted into Northern Illinois University's prestigious Masters degree program in the science of taxation (MST). Rabbi Joshua Zisook (who received semicha from HTC this past summer) and Bellows Kollel member Aharon Gaffen are pursuing Masters degrees at the Jewish Education Leadership Institute of Loyola University. They join a distinguished list of HTC alumni who have chosen Jewish Education as their life's work.
Over the past year, we have served a number of students who are interested in careers that require an intensive mathematics background. HTC offers the requisite courses for acceptance to the engineering program at Illinois Institute of Technology and other universities. This permits students seeking admission to the engineering program to learn in our Beis Midrash while taking Liberal Arts and Science courses on our campus that are transferred to IIT.
Our Accounting Department has done an excellent job of preparing our accounting majors to take the CPA examination. As is the case with all majors offered at HTC, all requirements for an accounting degree are offered on campus and taught by HTC faculty. Congratulations to Aaron Mauer upon passing the first part of the CPA exam on his first attempt.
We wish all our graduates continued success as they pursue their careers.
The Bressler School of Advanced Hebrew Studies, in cooperation with the Fasman Yeshiva High School, has initiated an exciting program whereby high school seniors take HIST 201: History and Topography of Jerusalem. Currently 11 seniors are registered for this 3 credit course which surveys the development of Jerusalem from David HaMelech to our time. This course offers the opportunity for intensive learning about Jerusalem throughout the year prior to their Israel experience. |
