IsraelThe Israel Experience Program (IEP) offered by Hebrew Theological College enables a student to spend a year of intensive study in an Israeli yeshiva while earning college credit. Most students find the year in Israel a challenging and enriching experience that serves as a guide in developing a lifestyle consonant with Torah values.

The Israel Experience Program (IEP) offered by Hebrew Theological College enables a student to spend a year of intensive study in an Israeli yeshiva while earning college credit. Most students find the year in Israel a challenging and enriching experience that serves as a guide in developing a lifestyle consonant with Torah values.

Through agreements with selected Israeli institutions representing a wide range of yeshivot, Hebrew Theological College can assist in some of the details involved in planning a year-long stay. And by providing academic advising and counseling to students before and after their year in Israel, the College can help students ensure that they receive maximum benefit in Torah achievement as well as attain additional educational goals both in Israel and upon their return.

Jewish Studies Online (JSOL) offers internet-based college courses in Math, Psychology and History. Our classes are taught by highly-qualified and engaging professors through Hebrew Theological College, an accredited college with an 90-year history of excellence.

HTC boasts a long history of distinguished guests who have enhanced our academic environment with their thoughtful commentaries. Our students, faculty and staff—as well as members of the larger Chicago community—all benefit from the challenging and thought-provoking insights shared by these illustrious speakers. Most lectures at HTC are free and open to the public.

Likutei Peshatim is a publication of weekly Divrei Torah and community happenings distributed in synagogues throughout Chicago and suburbs. Likutei Peshatim are prepared by the faculty, Kollel, and student body of Beis HaMidrash LaTorah- Hebrew Theological College.

Rabbi Zimmerman BM pic for webHebrew Theological College's Beis Midrash & College Program is a serious Yeshiva College program, where its focus is to foster a love of Torah learning and enable students to advance professional goals in a framework of a Yeshiva.  Students form lifelong relationships with Rabbeim and faculty, making HTC a warm and comfortable environment to grow.

The Yeshiva & College Program is led by Rabbi Avraham Friedman, Rosh HaYeshiva and Rabbi Dr. Hertzel Yitzhak, Dean.  Their combined years of Yeshiva and college experience ensure a challenging academic program, in which students may succeed.  All shiuirm and courses are held on campus in the classroom wing, a few feet from the Beis Midrash, and delivered by distinguished Rabbeim and  faculty members from some of the most respected universities in Chicago.

All primary majors in our accredited on-campus degree program are in Judaic Studies.  Options for additional majors include Accounting (with CPA Track), Business and Psychology.  Students may also pursue Pre-Law, Pre- Engineering and Pre-Professional Health Studies (Pre-Medicine, Pre-Dental and Pre-Pharmacy.)  HTC also has a Dual Acceptance Pharmacy Program with Midwestern University, Chicago College of Pharmacy.

Other options for majors not offered on our campus are attainable through concurrent registration with eminent universities in the Chicago area, among them Northwestern University and Loyola University.  Details are available upon request.

Our Semicha Program led by Rabbi Chaim Twerski, is one of the most renowned and oldest in America. Its requirements include intense and thorough study of the Shulchan Oruch and its Meforshim, in addition to regular shiurim dealing with practical Halachic issues.
