ADDITIONAL MAJOR IN PSYCHOLOGY
The major in Psychology provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for entrance into graduate and professional schools in psychology, social work, public administration, geriatrics, and other advanced study fields. The curriculum provides students with the ability to critically analyze research and conduct their own research in a broad range of psychological areas. Courses equip students with both theoretical perspectives on human development and behavior, as well as an understanding of the application of psychological principles to teaching, child rearing, motivation, learning, life stage issues, and the underlying perceptual, neurological, and sensory processes.
