As an accredited institution of Higher Education, Hebrew Theological College is required by various federal and state laws to notify students annually regarding certain policies. The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) protects the privacy of student education records. The Act provides students the right to inspect and review his/her education records, to seek to amend those records and to limit disclosure of information from the records.

Student Drug and Alcohol Policy
Hebrew Theological College prohibits the illegal and irresponsible use of alcohol and other drugs in accordance with Halachic authorities as well as applicable federal, state and local laws. Hebrew Theological College will enforce applicable laws concerning the possession or purchase of alcohol or illegal drugs as well as its own policies concerning the possession or abuse of alcohol or drugs.
Policy on Sexual Harassment
All institutions of higher education in Illinois are required by state law to inform their student bodies of the illegality of sexual harassment. In order to comply with this requirement, HTC notifies its students and displays information regarding their rights in common areas such as residence halls, administration buildings and libraries.
